In order to provide a safe and fun environment for our children and sitters, we ask that mothers register their children for the nursery prior to each month's meeting. Maria File will send an RSVP Nursery email approximately 10 days prior to the meeting date and children will be assigned to the nursery on a "first emailed, first served" basis. We will schedule 1 sitter for 10 children or less, and, if possible, 2 sitters for 11-15. There is a maximum of 15 children in the nursery/meeting due to space limitations. In the event that we are unable to schedule a 2nd sitter, only 10 children will be permitted into the nursery. (Please remember that children are welcome in the Lounge during the meeting if the mother feels it appropriate, and infants are always welcome.)
Childcare is provided by Angela Price. Ms. Angela is a parishioner at Cathedral in Raleigh and is a mother of two teenagers. She completed the Diocesan safe environment training and holds a background check at the
highest level through the Diocese, as well as current first aid/CPR certification. Ms. Angela is wonderful with children and mothers alike! We are also blessed to have Ms. BJ Cady assisting Ms. Angela on those months when we have more than 10 children.
The children play in the Fallon Center nursery during meetings; however, if a child is missing Mommy too much, he/she can join us in the Lounge as needed. Ms. Angela can watch children aged 6 months and up, but can only accept two 6-12 month olds per meeting. Mothers with infants are encouraged to keep them in the Lounge.
Please send your child to the nursery with any diapers/wipes and snacks/drinks that he/she may need. Ms. Angela holds a snack time during each playtime, usually around 10:30 a.m. We ask that you avoid any foods with nuts as an allergy precaution.
Sitters are paid for their services and we ask that members prayerfully consider contributing $5/child to the group's childcare fund. Monies are collected at the start of every meeting.
